Why Buyers Work With JUNKE

Housing specialists, not generalists

Our tooling, casting and finishing are organised around luminaire housings and profiles. That focus is why cut-out tolerances and finish consistency hold up across repeat orders.

Drawing-level specification

Every order runs against a written specification — material, wall thickness, surface finish, IP rating and cut-out — so a repeat order is comparable to the original, not described from memory.

OEM & ODM from sample

Your drawing or ours. We confirm the sample before tooling is committed, and print your brand on the housing, the carton and the instructions.

Compliance documentation

CE and RoHS documentation is prepared with each shipment, so your customs broker and project buyer receive a complete file rather than a promise.

Housing Options We Build To

A housing is specified on five decisions. Tell us where you stand on each and we can quote without a round of questions.

MaterialDie-cast aluminium, extruded aluminium, sheet steel, PC / PMMA diffuser options
Surface finishPowder coating (white, black, grey, custom RAL), anodising, brushed, chrome
Ingress protectionIP20 indoor through IP44 bathroom and IP65 outdoor-rated assemblies
Cut-out / profileStandard cut-out diameters, or your specific cut-out and trim geometry
Light engine interfaceCOB, SMD module or replaceable engine bay, with driver compartment sizing
OpticsReflector type, honeycomb anti-glare louvre, diffuser or open aperture

Values describe the range we build to. Final dimensions, tolerances and finishes are confirmed on the approved drawing and sample.

Applications We Supply

Retail & supermarket

Track and surface-mounted housings where merchandise colour and low glare decide the specification.

Office & commercial interiors

Panel frames and linear profiles sized to ceiling grids, with anti-glare bodies for low-UGR work areas.

Hospitality & lobbies

Wall washers and anti-glare spotlights where the fitting is visible and the finish is part of the interior scheme.

Transport & industrial

Higher-IP housings for metro concourses, platforms and workshops where cleaning and dust resistance matter.

Quality Control Before Shipment

  1. Drawing and sample approval — dimensions, tolerances and finish confirmed in writing before tooling.
  2. Incoming material check — alloy grade, wall thickness and diffuser material verified against sample.
  3. In-process and finishing check — coating thickness and colour consistency checked per batch.
  4. Pre-shipment inspection — dimensions, fit-up, appearance, marking, packing and carton drop check.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you supply housings on their own, or complete luminaires?
Both. Many customers buy housings and optics only, and fit their own light engine and driver. Others take a complete assembly with engine and driver installed and tested. Tell us which route you need and we will quote accordingly.
What is the minimum order quantity for a custom housing?
It depends on whether the part can be built from existing tooling. Parts cut from our current moulds start at a much lower quantity than a new die-cast or extrusion tool. Send your target quantity and we will confirm the exact MOQ.
Can you work from our drawings and keep the tooling exclusive?
Yes. We can work from your drawing or 3D file, and where tooling is charged to you the exclusivity terms are stated in the quotation. Please raise this at enquiry stage rather than after tooling has started.
Which surface finishes and colours are available?
Powder coating to standard white, black and grey, plus custom RAL colours; anodising, brushed and chrome finishes on aluminium parts. Colour consistency between batches is checked as part of the pre-shipment inspection.
What is the lead time for a new tool?
Tooling lead time depends on part complexity and the finishing required, and is quoted with the order rather than estimated. Please include your required sample date in the enquiry so we can confirm feasibility up front.
